Nourishing your body with healthy and wholesome foods is so important when it comes to being a healthy and fit person. Proper nutrition helps you to avoid illnesses and disease, helps to maintain your weight or lose those extra pounds you have been wanting to do, or even add extra pounds if that is your goal. Eating properly helps you increase your energy levels, increase mental clarity, helps to fight depression and so many more amazing things!

I have been studying nutrition for over ten years when I was told that I had IBS. I had major digestive issues such as severe cramping, bloating, urgent washroom visits and all that fun stuff. However two years ago, my IBS turned into something much worse. In March 2013 I became very ill and was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. My knowledge base for nutrition expanded greatly as I desperately seeked ways to feel better and be drug free. Soon I will be a Registered Holistic Nutritionist through the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and although the schooling provided me with a great deal of knowledge, no books can give you better insight then going through something yourself; essentially being your own guinea pig. So on this page I will share with you nutritional tips and my recommendations based on my experiences and research with nutrition.

My goal is to help as many people as I can, change their lives through nutrition. It totally changed mine and I am healthy today because of it.

I do want you to know that I am of the belief that there is not a 'one size fits all' for diet. When I say diet I mean lifestyle, because to me the word diet means something you do briefly to lose ten or twenty pounds. That is not my idea of a diet, a better word to explain eating well is 'lifestyle'. I do not provide quick fix diets that you do for four weeks and never do again. I am here to help by providing lifestyle changes to incorporate into your life forever, one day at a time.
